Harmful social norms perpetuate gender-based violence and the ongoing disempowerment of women and girls.
We challenge social norms and promote change to men and boys to achieve affirmation of gender equality and recognition of the contributionsof women and girls to a stable society, while educating and empowering communities to proactively prevent gender-based violence.
We lead sensitization workshops to educate local leaders and mobilize them to support and end gender-based violence. We integrate feedback to aid us in understanding the context of embedded female disempowerment so that we continually refine context-sensitive strategies to further the well-being of women and girls
We empower newly-created Women’s Committees to provide a forum and a process for women to address these issues in their communities.
We educate young men to prevent gender-based violence and advocate for women’s rights so that men become partners in female empowerment.
